Nuclear Training Content Owner roles are now open at Nuclear Consulting Limited. We are seeking experienced nuclear professionals, trainers and subject matter experts with existing training material.

The role suits individuals or organisations with established course content, slide decks, exercises, case studies, assessment questions, trainer notes or technical briefings. Relevant topics may include nuclear safety, security, safeguards, regulation, licensing, decommissioning, waste management, advanced technologies, defence, energy or major project delivery.

NCL is expanding its nuclear training catalogue for clients in the UK and international nuclear market. Contributors will work with NCL to review, adapt and package suitable material. NCL may then use the material within training products, online learning pathways, workshops and client-specific programmes.

The role also offers a route to recurring income. Where suitable, NCL can licence content from the owner and bring it to a wider market. In return, the content owner may receive royalties, revenue share, licence fees, paid update work or delivery fees.

Core responsibilities

  • Provide existing nuclear training material for NCL to review.
  • Support the adaptation of suitable material into NCL training products.
  • Help turn specialist knowledge into structured modules, courses and workshops.
  • Develop trainer packs, delegate materials, exercises and assessment content.
  • Support training pathways across nuclear safety, regulation, licensing and related topics.
  • Help NCL check technical quality, accuracy, currency and market relevance.
  • Identify ownership, copyright, confidentiality and third-party-use considerations.
  • Support pilot delivery, technical review and periodic updates where required.
  • Help NCL build repeatable, scalable and commercially credible training products.

Person specification

  • Credible experience in nuclear, energy, defence, infrastructure or regulation.
  • Experience may also include safety, security, waste, decommissioning or advanced technologies.
  • Existing training material that NCL can review for possible adoption.
  • Practical experience developing or delivering training, workshops or technical courses.
  • Ability to explain complex nuclear topics clearly to mixed audiences.
  • Strong technical judgement and good commercial awareness.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with NCL’s training, digital and subject-matter expert teams.
  • Interest in turning existing material into repeatable training products.
  • Interest in licensing, revenue share, royalties or other recurring-income models.

Contract and Remuneration

NCL is particularly interested in people who own or control existing nuclear training material. A content licence can allow NCL to adapt, brand, host, market, sell and deliver approved training material. The material may then form part of NCL’s wider training catalogue. This model can help the original content owner generate recurring income from existing intellectual property. For example, income may come from a fixed licence fee, per-course royalty, revenue share, paid update days, delivery fees or a blended arrangement.

NCL will agree commercial terms with each contributor before using any material. The final structure will depend on the quality, maturity, originality, market relevance and ownership position of the content.

This role is flexible. NCL can structure the arrangement around content licensing, revenue share, fixed-fee development work, paid delivery days, review days or a blended model. The time commitment will vary by topic and product maturity. Some contributors may provide a defined course or module. Others may support delivery, updates, client tailoring and further product development.
